Master of Wars

"HaShem, Master of Wars is His Name..."

When HKBH is on our side we know we're in the hands of the true Master of Wars. He teaches our hands to war and our fingers to fight - how so? With the bowstrings of a harp, with fingers on ivory keys, with drum and timbrel and electric guitar - we triumph over our enemies - primarily the internal ones - via music of praise and passion.

Therefore ... We're starting our evening at 7:15pm with some Bob Marley. "One Love Peace Concert," (1978) followed by "Chant Down Babylon" (1999). No one fought the entrenched intractable status quo like Bob Marley, and no one did it with more sweetness or passion.

George Harrison, Ravi Shankar, Bob Dylan, Leon Russell, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Badfinger, Ali Akbar Khan. Just a few blokes getting together with 40,000 of their closest friends to try to save a suffering country. THE CONCERT FOR BANGLADESH - 9pm Jerusalem Time tonight...
they believed music could change the world, and that G-d was on their side...almost 40 years later, we have to reflect...they weren't so very wrong about that, were they?

...and at 10:30pm we'll go to OUR own shtetel ... Anetevka. "Fiddler on the Roof" (the original Broadway recording) will take us back to our ROOTS.

Speaking of roots, at 11:30pm we'll hear the Grateful Dead 100 Years Hall. It don't get more rootsy than that, yo!

Let's let the Master of Wars fight our battles, we'll be playing Him music...
