Over, Under, Sideways, Down

That's right. In this Topsy-Turvy Olam Hafuch - upside down world in which we live, I'm going to shake things up a bit.  Tonight - "Cookin' For Shabbos" will start at 9:00 PM 'ish - that's right, our theme song will play at 9:00 Pm -- and we will start cookin' just like it says everywhere our schedule is posted - even though I always start the show at 10 -- well, tonight we start "on time."
...and then, i might disappear, but you won't notice cause the music will be there - you know, just like what happens around 1 or 2 am....but, G-d willing, somewhere around 11:30 pm 'ish guess what - I'll be back!!!!
...and we'll just keep cookin' all night long!
So, that's not so bad, is it? Not too disorienting, I hope.
and, just one more thing.

Did you all take a "Walk in the Garden" last night? I hope so.  But if you missed it, just go to the Download page on our website and listen to Season One - episode 3 whenever you'd like.  You can hear episodes 1 and 2 also, you know. Chazara (review) is not such a bad thing!
Remember, a "Walk in the Garden" is featured every Wednesday night at 8:00 PM.  Join Rabbi Dror Moshe Casuto ( Chut Shel Chesed Yeshiva - Shmuel Hanavi 13, Jerusalem) and Yitzhak (Richard) Millman discuss Rabbi Sholom Arush's sefer, Garden of Peace.  You know people, it's really not about Shalom Bayis, but more about Serving G-d. Check it out!

Now, is there anything else?
coming up:
Cookin' for Shabbos - tonight
NFKO Childrens' Hour - Friday at 2:00
Goin' down the Road to Shabbos - Friday, 3:30 PM 'ish,
We've talked about Walking in the Garden.
We have an Unconfirmed Special guest for Sunday Night Live (Sunday 8:00 PM this week from Studio "B")
Hey, it sounds like Radio Free Nachlaot, doesn't it?
I guess we've covered it all!

Shavua Tov - The Light's All In!

Shavua Tov friends! Hope everyone had a great Shabbat - we know we did! It's a big turn of the tide, if you've been following "Developing Your Neshama Through the Jewish Year" for the last two years on RFN you'll know that this is the time of year - after Shavuos and before the 17th of Tammuz where (as Rabbi Benzion Lehrer says) "The Light's All In." All the light we've been developing throughout the year is come down into our lives in the most palatable way - the question is: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH IT???

Well, as for us - we're going to do our best to bring you the BEST music, talk & Torah, 24/6, from both our Undisclosed Locations in the Holy Land - Jerusalem and Tzfat.

Saturday Night - HAVDALAH and Melava Malka with Benzion and Lorelai, "Towards a More Authentic Judaism" with Micha Lindenberg, live from Tzfat, followed by "Where Shlomo Meets Saturday Night" - music from Reb Shlomo and Jerry Garcia, of course!

Sunday - "Sunday Night Live" will feature a VERY special guest, Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman this Sunday June 3rd at 8pm Israel time (10am LA/11am Denver/12N Texas/1pm NY). Author, artist, the leading voice re constructionist / vocal coach in the world (and the most controversial figure in the field Vocal Pedagogy) Miriam will join us for two hours of what we promise will be one of the most fascinating interviews you've ever heard. Clear your calendars and don't forget to tune in and listen!

Monday - 6pm Benzion Lehrer's Interactive Q&A Show all about health, healing and nutrition! You can ask your questions live on Facebook Chat with Benzion or Lorelai - or email us your questions ahead of time to: radiofreenachlaot.com and we'll answer them live on-air.
7pm - Brian Blum's BRAINWAVES - the best Indie/Eclectic music show on Internet Radio!
9pm - Maya's Music of the Night - will Maya change her musical tastes now that she's turned 30? We doubt it, but stay tuned and listen - just in case!

Tuesday - 6pm Benzion Lehrer's "Developing Your Neshama Through the Jewish Year" - join us as we continue our journey through the Jewish Year.
7pm - HOMEGROWN - The best of YOUR music, send us your tunes at: radiofreenachlaot@gmail.com and we'll play them during the Homegrown Show!

Lately on Wednesday nights we've even got Rena Levine to do a special show! We won't promise anything - but it's happened the last few Wednesdays, and it could happen again!

Thursday - 7pm "Parsha Shavua" with Rabbi Chaim Richman
7:30pm - The Not-For-Drag-Queens-Only Show Tunes Show - the best of Broadway, film scores and the kind of music that makes you want to stand up and sing!

4pm - On The Road to Shabbos - music to get you ready for Shabbos Kodesh!

.... and then, it's Shabbat, all over again!

Don't forget our Daytime Programming - Mondays - Thursdays it's Musical Cholent Mix from about 8am - 11am, The Final Vinyl Show from 11am - 1pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Bluesy Blues Show and the Jazzy Jazz Show from 11am -1pm on Wednesdays, and Israeli Soul Afternoon every afternoon from 1pm - 6pm Mondays - Thursdays.

"They say it's your birthday"

...and IT IS! It's Maya's Birthday - Happy Birthday to YOU!

Now, Maya is an undisclosed **years old - I mean she can disclose it, but not me, no sir!
She of course thinks she's getting old, but I tell you, compared to some of us, she's just a kid!!
However you look at it, it's been a blessing that she found us, or we found her, and that she has found a home here on Radio Free Nachlaot.  I mean, what would Monday Nights be without her!!!

so, of course the question is how will Maya celebrate her birthday? I guess we'll have to wait until Monday at 9:00 PM to find out!!

Until then, about 3:30 PM 'ish we'll play a bit of a birthday set for Maya, just to get her birthday going, cause as Maya would say, her birthday is "coming down upon us!"

Happy Birthday Maya, we love you!
