Tell It Like It Is

We woke up Monday Morning in Jerusalem to find that the New Orleans Saints had, beyond all expectations (except those of a certain Astrologer) won the 2010 Superbowl against the seemingly unbeatable Colts. In honor of the triumph of our Cajun friends we're going to play some Aaron Neville music tonight ... but first ...

We're telling it like it is! An interesting discussion regarding the juxtaposition of Rebbe Nachman's Tikkun HaKlali with rock n'roll ensued this morning via Lorelai's Facebook Page. What sparks flew! We enjoy trading opinions (each Jew has at least four on any given subject) and even barbs, but b'ezrat HaShem, it's all in the spirit of goodness and exhortation.

Today's schedule includes new music brought to us by our friends Shaul David Judelman and Moishe Pesach Geller. Thanks for the hook-up, guys! We're also featuring a wonderful Torah by Rebbetzin Rena Richman who continues her "Bat Melech" series with an in-depth teaching on Devorah the Prophetess, and a special teaching from Rabbi Chaim Richman on the Priestly Garments (which if Lorelai had named the program it would have been called "What the Well-Dressed Cohen Wears" - but that's why he's the rabbi and she's clearly NOT).

Today's Torah Schedule:
2pm - Rena Richman's "Bat Melech" - Devorah the Prophetess
3:30pm - Rabbi Chaim Richman "The Priestly Garments Part 1: To Make and To Wear"

Today's Music Schedule:
8am - 1pm Lorelai's Morning Dew for the Morning Jew Show
1pm - 6pm "Israeli Soul" Afternoon features new music (thanks Shaul & Moishe!) from In Lakech, Sasha Rose Butterfly's "Creation Song" CD and Northwestern U.S. Wedding Band Superstars (led by Shaul's brother Keith Judelman) Sasson.
6pm - "Betten Gav" Chillaxation Hour features Peter Paul & Mary - very chill!
7pm - Billie Holiday "Lady Day" the Columbia Records Collection - sweet!
8pm - New Orleans' Favorite Son Aaron Neville - favorite picks, both solo and duets
9pm - Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bayou Country and Mardi Gras
10:30pm - The Allman Brothers Beacon Theater Concert from March 2009 (getting ready for that great show again this year, only NOT at the Beacon - stay tuned for more news as it develops).
