What happens when the Soul leaves the Body? What WILL happen when the Soul is reunited with the Body? The second blessing of the Amidah (Shmona Esri) says about HaShem, Creator of Heaven and Earth: "He sustains the living with kindness, revives the dead with abundant mercy, supports the fallen, heals the sick, releases the confined, and maintains His faith to those asleep in the dust. Who is like You, O Master of mighty deeds, and who is comparable to You, O King Who causes death and restores life and makes salvation sprout? You are faithful to revive the dead! Blessed are You, HaShem, Who revives the dead."

Mazel Tov! Mazel Tov!
Transitions, transitions - a seed becomes a boy, a boy becomes a man, a man becomes a spirit, a spirit becomes flesh - there's no end to it, because LIFE IS ETERNAL AND THERE'S NO END TO IT, we just change "file formats" so to speak - the hard part is for the living who can't access the new "file format" of those who depart the flesh - but as the Amidah says: HaShem is faithful to revive the dead, and we KNOW He is faithful to sustain the living with kindness - we place our hope right there, and we do what we can do, whatever is given to us - thank G-d!
